About the Journal
Al Qasimia University Journal of Shari’a Sciences and Islamic Studies (AQUJSSIS) is an international, open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed journal published semi-annually (June and December) by Al Qasimia University, United Arab Emirates. The journal serves as a global academic platform dedicated to publishing original theoretical and empirical research that bridges classical Islamic scholarship with contemporary issues.
Vision:
By publishing pioneering refereed scientific research in Shari’a and Islamic studies, the Journal would aspire to be among the most prestigious internationally recognized scientific publications in the field of Shari’a knowledge.
Mission:
To disseminate scientific research distinguished by its originality and novelty, in the fields of Shari’a sciences and Islamic studies, in accordance with international publishing standards, in order to achieve the goals of the university, and to serve the local and international community in the field of Shari’a knowledge.
Objectives:
- To serving the local and global community by publishing high quality original studies.
- To establishing a scientific platform for researchers and specialists in the fields of Shari’a studies in line with international indexation standards.
- To actively contributing to the development of scientific research both nationally and internationally.
- To extending scientific research cooperation with researchers globally, by publishing insightful scientific research.
- To analyze contemporary issues and developments in the field of Shari’a sciences and Islamic studies.
Focus and Scope
The journal aims to welcome submissions in Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh) and its Fundamentals (Usul), as well as Quranic Exegesis (Tafsir), Quranic Sciences, and Hadith Sciences. The scope also includes Islamic Theology (Aqidah), Islamic Economics, and Maqasid al-Shari’a (Objectives of Islamic Law).
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. There are no article processing charges (APCs) or submission fees.
