Abstract

This research aims to study the form (infa'ala), analyze its structure and significance, in an attempt to expand the circle of the passive voice through studying this form between the active and passive voice in both classical and modern linguistic studies. The study suggests that this form indicates the passive voice alongside the form (fu'ila) and other passive voice forms in terms of significance and meaning, by researching the structure of the verb and historical references to its usage in ancient Semitic languages. The study follows the descriptive analytical approach in studying the form and revealing its origin and significance.
