The objective of this study is to elucidate the linguistic structure of Al-Sharīf al-Raḍī's elegy for his mother and to uncover some of its secrets directly from the poem itself. This is achieved using the descriptive-analytical method, which focuses on analyzing the components of the poem to reconstruct it and reveal the latent linguistic and stylistic relationships within it. The study aims to bridge the gap between grammar and poetry, utilizing grammar with its extensive relationships to understand, analyze, and comprehend poetry through its linguistic structure. The chosen poem for this analysis is "Abkīki Law Naqa‘a al-Ghalīla Bukā’ī", by Al-Sharīf al-Raḍī, one of the most renowned poets of the Abbasid era (d. 406 AH). The analysis attempts to dissect its linguistic structure, the fabric of its construction, the methods of its composition, and to search for the links between its sentences and hidden clauses through grammatical relationships.
