يحملُ هذا البحث عنوان: "نَقْدُ الأقوال التفسيرية بالقراءاتِ القُرآنيِّةِ عندَ ابن جرير الطَّبَري (دراسة نظرية تطبيقية)"، ويهدف البحث إلى تناول ما قرَّره الطبري– رحمه الله– من صناعة نقدية لأقوال المفسرين بما امتلكه من موسوعة كبيرة في علوم اللغة والحديث والفقه وغيرها، إلا أنّ ما عناه الباحثان ههنا، هو الحس النقدي عند الطبري في إعمال القراءات المتواترة والشاذة في نقد أقوال ِالمفسرين؛ وذلك إما ترجيحًا أو ردًا لها، حيث وظَّف الطبري القراءات القرآنية في تمحيص وتفنيد أقوال أهل التفسير توظيفًا كبيرًا. جاء البحث وفق المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وقُسِّم البحث إلى مقدمة وتمهيد يتضمن ترجمة موجزة للطبري، والتعريف بالنقد عند المفسرين، ومبحثين: نظري، وجاء فيه علاقة القراءات القرآنية بالتفسير، وتطبيقي، واختص بدراسة نماذج من نقد الطبري لأقوال أهل التفسير مستخدمًا القراءات القرآنية، وخلُص البحث إلى عدة نتائج، منها: أن الطبري وسَّع نظره في تفسيره نقدًا وترجيحًا واستنباطًا دون مبالغة و تقصير، وأن الطبري استعمل القراءات الشاذة في نقد أقوال المفسرين أكثر من المتواترة، وأنه ليس لكل قراءة قرآنية أثر في التفسير خصوصًا تلك القراءات المتعلقة بالأداء الصوتي وليس بمعاني الكلمات، وغيرها من النتائج الموجودة في مظانها.
