This study examines the method of Prophet Abraham (Ibrāhīm), peace be upon him, in addressing family problems and explores how its key values may be drawn upon within the context of the United Arab Emirates’ “Year of Community and Year of Family” (2025- 2026). The research aims to analyse the methodological characteristics adopted by Abraham in overcoming familial challenges encountered with his father, his wives, and his son, and to derive from these episodes educational, psychological, and social lessons. The study employs an inductive and analytical approach to relevant Qur’anic and Prophetic texts, extracting core values and lessons and discussing the extent to which they may inspire contemporary family-related initiatives, social programs, and activities relevant to the UAE context. The study concludes that Abraham’s approach rests on three major pillars: dialogue grounded in wisdom and compassion; sacrifice rooted in altruism and prioritizing the pleasure of God; and a careful balance between unwavering doctrinal principles and flexibility in interpersonal dealings. The findings further suggest that these values may provide an inspiring conceptual framework for enhancing family counseling programs, educational curricula, and media initiatives in the UAE, thereby strengthening family and community cohesion and supporting the national vision of a stable family and a cohesive society.
